Our children are our Christmas miracles.
Christmas 2011~ our sweet babies were placed in our home a few short weeks before Christmas. Absolutely the best Christmas gift we have ever received.
Christmas 2012~ after a lengthy trial, we nearly had our children removed (against their wishes) and placed with one of their biological family members on Christmas Eve. But for their own safety and happiness the judge ruled to keep them in our home and allow us to begin the process of adopting them!
Christmas 2013~ this year, after a lengthy appeals process, the appellate judge ruled to uphold the court’s decision to have us adopt our children, the last thing we needed to be able to set a date to finalize their adoption! The Princess has been asking to ‘be adopted and stay with us forever’ since mere months after being placed in our home. This is truly a dream come true for her and we’re so excited that this dream will be realized soon.
They truly are our Christmas blessings each day.
But none of this compares to the gift of a Savior, born to save us and renew us to a right relationship with our Creator. For he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed (Is. 53:5).
So rejoice this day, knowing that the Prince of Peace has come and that He is restoring all things!
